Writer, translator, poet, poor; I love all things speculative and strange. A humanist at heart, I’m endlessly fascinated by the stories this world is built on. I’m passionate about history, equality and representation as well as cyberpunk fairies and ships of any kind.
My short stories and poems have been published in Finnish anthologies and magazines. A couple of stories are also scheduled to appear in English-language publications in 2017.
My blog Paperiaaveet is only in Finnish for now. I have considered posting in English every now and then if there’s a good reason. Mostly I go on about literature of questionable quality but extreme entertainment value and also post about my current projects.
I’m working on my first novel which may or may not see the light of day. It’s supposed to be a post-apocalyptic alternative history coming of age story or something fancy like that. I’m in it for the near-death experiences.
NaNoWriMo has helped me overcome many blocks and fears, and I try to participate in the camps and main events anytime I can.
